The Sale Sharks Rugby team was able to beat the Harlequins team of 14 men with a 9 point advantage. This was achieved by Dan Mugford who has signed on with the team from Nottingham. This was the first win for the team in the Premiership League that has started off for the new season of 2016-17.

Mugford was asked to come on board as a fly half when AJ MacGinty came away with an injury in the hamstring. Mugford scored three penalties that gave the Sharks team a lead of 9-7 by half time. The Quins on the other hand were trying to stay on with Chris Robshaw trying his best for his team. David Seymour was able to score a victory.

Quins did put in pressure late in the game but they were not able to gain a bonus point. They suffered a bruise that brought them down, the first defeat that they experienced in the campaign. The Quins suffered yellow cards such as Kyle Sinckler and Owen Jones along with Jonathan Mills from Sale.

In the beginning the game was held up for some time. TJ Loane from Sharks suffered a head injury and had to be taken off the field on a stretcher. Beaumont on the other hand had a bad tackle with Luamanu and that also left the Quins with a player short when the game was in the final nine minutes.

Dan Mugford played an outstanding game for the team, and if you fancy watching him in action yourself you can use this link to find tickets. Other players like Paolo Odogwu also showed a lot of potential in the game. As the game ended in a win for the team and the opposition did not earn a bonus point, it was definitely a successful win for the Sale Sharks. That is also crucial if a team wants to be on the top four list of the Premiership League.
